CubeValley — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026 · play.cubevalley.io

CubeValley is a browser game. We built it to collect as little as possible. This page explains what the game stores, where, and why.

What stays in your browser

Your player name, chosen language, settings, skins, coins and gems, achievements, quest progress, single‑player worlds and saved homes are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us. You can erase all of it at any time in the game: Settings → Privacy → Clear local data.

What the multiplayer server keeps

When you play online, the game connects to our server (play.cubevalley.io). The server keeps the blocks players place and break, chests, protected areas, and a random player ID generated in your browser so your builds stay yours. It does not know your real name, email, or location. Your chosen player name and chat messages are shown to other players in the same world while you are connected; chat is filtered for offensive language. We do not keep chat history.

Since v363 the server also stores a copy of your game progress (player name, chosen skin, XP, coins, achievements, backpack contents) under your random player ID, so you can continue on another device by entering that ID as a progress code. This data contains no personal information and is deleted when the game is shut down or on request.

Game analytics

To see where players get stuck, the game sends anonymous usage events to our own server (for example: the menu was shown, a mode was picked, the world finished loading, whether the player managed to move, how many blocks were mined, how long the session lasted, the game build version and the screen size). These events carry the same random player ID and a random session ID, never your name or any personal data, and we do not store IP addresses with them. We do not use third‑party analytics services. You can turn this off by adding ?tm=0 to the game address.

What we do not do

Game portals and advertising

When CubeValley is played on a game portal such as Poki, the portal provides the page around the game and may show advertisements and measure how the game is played (for example, how long a session lasts). This is handled by the portal under its own privacy policy: Poki Privacy Statement. We only receive anonymous, aggregated statistics from the portal.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and does not ask for personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question about your child's data in the game, contact us and we will help.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours records technical connection data (IP address, time, request) for a short period to keep the service running and to protect it from abuse. These logs are deleted automatically and are not used to identify players.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
